Students are coming to LPU along their parents for availing scholarship as last date of applying for scholarship program is July 25th.
Jalandhar, July 8, 2015: The largest university of the country (in terms of students on a single campus), Lovely Professional University has also running the largest scholarship program in India as a student oriented initiative. Since inception of this scholarship program, Rs 100 Crore worth support has been provided to 20,000 meritorious students so far. Last date to apply for LPU Scholarship Program is 25th July 2015.
Informing about the scholarship program, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said: “We are happy that we have made this program available to a large number of students. Through this scholarship program, we want to help a meritorious student to receive quality education.” Mr Mittal elaborated: “To be eligible for this scholarship applicants have to be academically strong. Students can avail scholarships to study at LPU on the basis of performance in the board examination, graduation or the national/state level tests. University recognizes not only academically strong students but also candidates who have performed in excellence for cultural/sports activities.”
Attracted by internationally benchmarked curriculum, infrastructure and excellent placements, this year too, a large number of foreign students from advanced countries including China, France, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and more are getting admission at LPU. Similarly, Indian students from Southern states Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and even other far off states including Gujarat, Maharashtra are seen at the campus along with their parents/relatives for admissions. Earlier students used to go to South and foreign countries for quality education; however, LPU has reversed the trend by attracting thousands of students not only from all the states of India but from 30 other countries also.
Illustrative, Scholarship and LPU special Financial Aid program LPU-TFA (Test for Financial Aid) can be applied for 200 programs, ranging from diploma programs to post- graduate ones. Scholarship is also available as per rank in JEE (Main), XAT, NATA, CAT, GATE NEET, MAT & GPAT. National and international level best performances in sports/cultural performance, research & development, social services and bravery acts also enable a student to avail scholarship including full fee waiver.
