KMVites excel in Inter College Competition

Jalandhar, March 19, 2015: The students of  department of  Journalism and Mass Communication of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya won laurels for the college by winning prizes in different   categories at Media festival “Communis 2015” organised by P.G. Department of  Journalism and Mass Communication at Doaba College, Jalandhar Kiran, Shivani and Nidhi students of BA (JMC) fourth semester won first prize in documentary competition.

The students conceptualised this documentary on shelter homes of orphanages in India which was highly appreciated at the media festival. Another student Shivani of BA (JMC) IV semester stood third in photography  competition students of the college participated in various events like  choreography, Ad-Mad show, News Reading, Radio Jockey (RJ) standup comedy, piece to camera etc. and showcased their talent. It is worth mentioning here that these students have already made the institution proud by winning various events at inter college festival organised by  and won second prize in documentary competition GNDU Regional campus, Ladhewali last month as well.

The principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma congratulated the winners of different competitions and appreciated the efforts of the faculty members of department of Journalism. The principal stated that such competitions provide a platform to the students to exhibit their talent and gain confidence for their future endeavors.
