A story and poem writing competition being held at KMV, Jalandhar on Friday.
Jalandhar, February 20, 2015: P.G.Department of English under the aegis of English literary society organised a story and poem writing competition in which students from all languages and all streams participated in large number. The topics for story writing were – life is full of surprises, virtue Rewarded, the Glass is Half Full. The topics for poem writing were – Beauty, Freedom, My Dream & Mother The head of English Department Seema Jain accorded a floral welcome to Worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma.
Dr. Madhumeet conducted the stage. The Principal of KMV, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma congratulated the participants and said that such activities provide a platform to the students to explore their hidden talents Madam encouraged the students to be creative in life.
Principal lauded the efforts of the teachers of the Department of English for organising this competition.
Vanila Khanna, Shalini Gulati, Seema Arora, Dr. Deepika Anand, Reena Sharma, Rituparna were present on the occasion.
Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that writing a poem or a story makes us all creators of sorts. Though it is difficult to define creativity yet it is something which turns our new and imaginative ideas into reality.
