KHATRI Welfare Sabha appeals to children to stand against drug-addiction

Ferozepur, July 19, 2013: A function was organised by Khatri Welfare Sabha (Regd.), Ferozepur at Mandir Usha Mata, Ferozepur Cantt to honour the students who got distinction in education which was attended by the parents and prominent citizens.

Darshan Singh Dhawan, Chairman congratulated the students who figured in the merit list and inspired them to capture the high profile jobs with full dedication and devotion towards society.

Speaking on this occasion, Pawan Kumar Bhandari, General Secretary said, “Apart from working hard in education, they should also motivate the children in the society to study as in the future, only the educated youths are to take the command of the country.

Tarsem Bedi, President, Khatri Welfare Sabha said, “The physical fitness is very necessary alongwith the education and for the purpose, the students must have interest in sports also so that the coming generation is physically and mentally healthy.  Expressing his serious concern over the drug-addiction, he said, “The use of drugs among the youths can only be curbed in case our next generation is totally against it”.

Khatri Welfare Society honoured six students from different classes for getting distinction in education. Those honoured were, Sonali Kakkar, first position in B.Sc. 2nd year, Namita Uppal, third position in B.Sc 1st year for third position and Garmia Maini, Sresth Dhawan, Mukuk Vij and Nikhil Deora for getting first position, in Punjab.

On this occasion, Parveen Malhotra, Parshotam Lal Mehta, Basant Lal Malhotra Advocate, Inderjit Sanghar, Prmod Kapoor, Kuldip maini, Ranjit Singh Sodhi, Dr. Sruinder Kapoor, Sanjeev Nanda, Ravi Dhawan, Sanjeen Vadera, Pawan Chadha, Dharamveer Chopra also appealed to the students to keep themselves away from the social menace of drug-addiction and plant trees to keep the pollution-free environment.
