Chandigarh, October 4, 2016: BJP National Secretary and Delhi affairs co-incharge Tarun Chugh has slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Union Minister P Chidambaram, CPIM leader Sitaram Yechury and Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh for belittling the brave act of Indian Army' which recently carried out successful 'Surgical Strikes' against terrorists across the LoC.

Taking serious note of the utterances of the above leaders and more recently of the Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam, Chugh said it was highly deplorable that instead of hailing the strikes and boosting the morale of the Indian Army, these leaders were raising questions that were detrimental to the interests of the country.

Chugh said, while the Indian soldiers were not hesitating in sacrificing their lives for keeping the national flag high and to protect the sanctity of borders and the people of the country, these leaders were politicizing non-issues just for the sake of criticism and political mileage.

Accusing Kejriwal of speaking Pakistan's language, Chugh said while the whole country was hailing Prime Minister Modi's decision and Army's bravery, Kejriwal was asking for proof of the action. He said the AAP convener should not have stooped so low just to score some political brownie points.

Reacting to Arvind Kejriwal's demand of releasing evidence regarding the 'Surgical Strikes' against terrorists in Pakistan, Chugh said his statement proves that the Delhi chief minister was backing Pakistan's misleading information campaign just to put India down. He said Kejriwal was exposing himself by acting as a stooge of Pakistan and even his own men won't support him on this.

Chugh appealed Kejriwal and all other leaders who were raising questions on the caliber and capability of Indian Forces not to let their own motherland and the brave soldiers down at this crucial juncture.

He said this was the time to keep the internal politics aside and speak in one voice so that the world and especially Pakistan knew that India was one as far as the pride of the nation and security of its people and borders was concerned.
