Jayani constitutes high level committee to look into issues of agitating NHM employees

Chandigarh, April 7, 2015: Health Minister Punjab Surjit Kumar Jayani has constituted a high level committee headed by the Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dr Navjot Kaur to look into the issues of the agitating NHM employees in the state.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the government said that the other members would be special secretary Health Vikas Garg, Director Health, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Joint Director, Dr. H.S.Bali, Director Projects and Finance, Vipin Sharma, and Deputy Director Shashi Kant, Dr. Inderjit Rana President NHM,  Avtar Singh DPM Mansa, Navneet Kaur President of Staff Nursing Association and Ninder Kaur, President ANMs would be the members.

The Minister has directed the Chairperson of the committee to discuss in detail the demands of the agitating Employees’ Union of NHM and submit the report with a month which would be submitted to the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.  Their genuine demands would be sympathetically considered and forwarded to the Government of India for farther action.

The Minister has also asked the heads of the various Unions of NHM to forward the grievances to the newly constituted high level body for timely redressal.
