Minister for Railways Mr Piyush Goel should take up the issues with the concerned authorities in the interest of public.
.Two trains numbering 14681/14682 running between Jalandhar City to New Delhi via Saharanpur and Train Number 12460/12459 running between Amritsar- Jalandhar City were terminated due to fog in the winter season have not yet been reinstated . As the rail passengers are facing lots of difficulties due to the termination of these two trains, both the terminated trains should be reinstated within a fortnight.
.Train Number 12925 Paschim Express running between Bandra- Amritsar reaches New Delhi on time but after departure from New Delhi up to Ambala Cantt is runs on schedule but after Ambala Cantt the train starts running late up to two hours on and often. It is requested that the Union Railway Ministry should monitor this train the reasons behind running late. Apart from this number of long distance trains are running late from its scheduled timings creating inconvenience to the rail passengers.
.D.M.U. running between Jalandhar City- Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar City- Nakoder, Jalandhar City- Ferozepur, Jalandhar City -Pathankot, Jalandhar City - Amritsar should run on scheduled time table and the Railway officials should monitor that these trains do not run late.
.As the mercury is rising the consumption of drinking water increases manifold. The Railways have installed water coolers for the rail passengers on the platforms. These water coolers fail to provide sufficient drinking water, it is requested that more water taps be installed in public interest. The Railway authorities should allow the N.G.O.'s to distribute safe drinking water for the rail passengers on different stations if the N.G.O.'s are interested towards social service.
.The quality of food (dinner, breakfast) needs review in the menu and its quality. It is for the Railway authorities to keep strict vigil and watch on the food supplied to the rail passengers in the trains and railway stations.
