Ivy World School proudly organised sports day as culmination to Zephyr 6

Jalandhar, December 4, 2018: Ivy World School proudly organised their Sports day as a culmination to Zephyr 6 on 2nd December in the school campus. One thousand students along with their coaches participated in this mega event. The event commenced with a well synchronised march past and mass PT led by our star sports students who have represented school house contingents. The sprawling playground wore a festive look with colourful flags. The opening ceremony was marked with a spectacular array of events. The atmosphere was charged with zeal and enthusiasm with the call for the opening rounds of heats for different races. Students from all the four houses participated with full spirit in array of events like 100m race, 200m race, 400m race, 800m race, 50x4 m relay , Yoga, Basketball ,Karate , wave dance and Gymnastics etc showcasing their stamina, strength, determination, skill and spirit. There was a frenzy of excitement amongst the Ivyians , when the names of the winners were announced in various categories. Students shone like bright stars and brought glory to their houses by clinching a lot of medals in various races. This stupendous meet not only helped our children in building confidence, resilience and sportsman spirit but also helped them to understand the importance of team work. It also inculcated a sense of initiative and self-management amongst the students. The chief guest, Mr.Diprawa Lakra, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jalandhar,in his speech said that he was highly impressed by the students endeavour for displaying spectacular enthusiasm and invincible sportsman spirit. He believed that a school is a source of perpetual process of learning and appreciated the institution’s efforts to promote and provide budding Olympians. The Guest of Honour, The Great Khali applauded the efforts put forth by the Ivyians in various events. The vision of Mr. Sanjeev Vasal, Chairman Vasal Education group , transformed into reality on the fields of IVY. The members of school management congratulated the Ivyians for putting up such grand event and made a special mention that Ivy World School has charted an exemplary growth and no challenge can deter Ivyians , if they continue to delineate the same vim and vigour.
