Students perform in IT Spark-2015 at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, November 6, 2015: Over 428 students divided into 8 houses displayed their technical skill and expertise in IT Spark-2015 an Inter-Departmental competition organised by the Computer Science and IT department of Lyallpur Khalsa College. The S.Balbir Singh Memorial Overall trophy of the event went to Sigma House. The winners were awarded prizes by the Chief Guest S.Deepinder Singh Purewal of the College Governing Council. Speaking on the occasion, the chief Guest lauded the efforts of the department for organizing such an event where students got the opportunity to improve skills and add a practical dimension to otherwise theoretical education. Welcoming the guests, the college Principal Dr. GS Samra said that information technology was an area with abundant career opportunities and the aim of the college was to make its students competent enough to find a suitable place for themselves in current job market. the Prof. Manohar Singh Head of the College IT department presented the vote of thanks. thanked the Department and Students for their support and Enthusiastic participation.
