Indian woman arrested near Indo-Pak Border

Ferozepur, June 23, 2017: BSF sleuths belonging to 118 Battalion deputed at Border Out Post Dona Rai Dina Nath (DRDN) in Ferozepur Sector have apprehended an Indian woman identified as Shanti Devi, resident of Village Savidara Samiti of Bihar state under suspicious conditions.
As per the information available, the BSF jawans nabbed this woman last night at around 8.30 pm in alignment of border pillar number 216/M, around 200 meters away from the International Border. After the preliminary interrogation, the woman was sent to the Lakho Ke Behram Police Station. The BSF officials told that the mental condition of this woman seems to be unstable.
Earlier, on May 26, the BSF sleuths belonging to 107 Battalion had arrested one person identified as Kalu, a resident of Village Pikara Bujurg of District Gonda in Uttar Pradesh from BOP Satpal under suspicious condition. When searched, ten train tickets, one PAN Card, three ATM Cards, one voter ID card and Rs 10 currency note were recovered from him.
