Inauguration Of Subedar Ajit, MVC Multi Utility Sports Centre

Jalandhar, April 29, 2016: A Multi Utility Sports Complex named as Sub Ajit Sports Centre after Subedar Ajit Singh, Mahavir Chakra (MVC), the war hero of 1965 Indo Pak War was inaugurated byLieutenant General JS Cheema, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps. Subedar Ajit Singh was awarded the second highest gallantry award the ‘MVC, (posthumously). Mrs Lakhwinder Kaur daughter of Subedar Ajit Singh, MVC was also present during the inauguration ceremony and was felicitated by the chief guest.
The Multi Utility Sports Centre developed by Vajra Corps has set a new bench mark and will assist in holistic growth of the families of Junior Commissioned Officers and other ranks residing at Khem Karan Vihar. The centre boasts of facilities such as walking plaza, skating rink, cricket pitch, badminton court, open gymnasium and a food court. To further add to the facilities of the centre, an indoor gymnasium is also being constructed. In addition RO Plants to provide clean water to the families residing at Khem Karan Vihar have also been installed.
