Ludhiana, June 17, 2016: Architect members of The Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre (IIALC) has welcomed the final decision of Union Government to construct highway from state capital Chandigarh to upcoming Smart City Ludhiana as informed by Ar.Sanjay Goel Director of Ludhiana Smart City Ltd and Chairman of The Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter.
The new NH 95 highway to be constructed under the hybrid annuity mode will be a real express way to travel and enjoy. Hope State Government will acquire the required balance land soon to call the tenders.
Rupees 2069.70 crore highway project will bring a lot of happiness and employment to many in the region as 76 km (54 km six lane and 22 km four lane) long new highway in place of already existing two lane congested road will not only reduce the travel time but will also reduce the number of accidents. Architects hope that under PPP mode it will be completed very soon.
It's also good that Chandigarh Kharar section has already been awarded to a construction company for execution.
Public will be very happy after joining of upcoming two smart cities (Ludhiana and Chandigarh) of the region.
