Ludhiana, October 18, 2017: Fruit bars are high calorie foods and are a rich source of the vitamins and minerals. Fruit bars being principally made out of fruit pulps, retain most of these ingredients and form a good nutritional supplement Fruit bars are so far made from pulpy fruits or by mixing the pulps of fruits that are commercially in demand. In present scenario there is need of nutritive food products and ICAR-CIPHET has developed Strawberry Fruit leather technology (Strawberry Fruit Barfi) and Zoot India Company, Gurdaspur has approached ICAR-CIPHET for licensing of this technology. Dr.Ranjeet Singh, I/C ITMU co-ordinated this activity. Dr. R.K. Gupta, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana awarded licensing certificate to the proprietor of firm Mr. Rakesh Verma on 17 October 2017.
