IAP Pediatric Quiz for PG students being held at Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, September 29, 2015: Department of Pediatrics today organized divisional round of 9th IAP Pediatric Quiz for PG students. Four teams from Government Medical College, Patiala, Government Medical College, Amritsar, PGIMER Chandigarh and DMC Ludhiana participated in the quiz programme.
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri formally inaugurated the programme and extended his best wishes to the participants. In his message, Dr Puri said that organizing of such quiz programmes help in enhancing the academic knowledge of students.
Dr Harmesh Singh Bains (Professor & Head of Pediatrics) was the quiz master and informed the students about the rules of quiz proagramme. He informed that Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) regularly organizes quiz programmes to promote child health care awareness among the medical students both at Undergraduate and PG level. The quiz was conducted in seven different rounds including one visual and rapid-fire round.
Other faculty members of Pediatrics Department present on the occasion, encouraged the participating teams to make maximum use of their know-how about the subject. Team from PGIMER, Chandigarh stood first followed by DMCH, Ludhiana which was first runner up.
The winners of divisional round will now compete at Zonal level and Zonal winners shall compete at National level Quiz competition to be held during the National conference of Pediatrics at Hyderabad in year 2016.
