Taapsee Pannu has been enjoying success of her recent release Mulk. When asked about the ban on her film in Pakistan, the actress said, “I feel sorry for the people of Pakistan that they couldn’t see the movie.” She was speaking at News18 India Baithak.

Talking about the certification for her film, she said, “When we were making Mulk, we were unsure if it would be even certified by the censor board, because of the content. Yet, when we had our first ever screening, mere two-three insignificant changes requested which had no effect on the film. Its UA certificate was immediately granted.”

Taapsee is one of the few actresses who hasn’t been linked with other actors as is the norm in the industry. Joking about lack of such rumors, she said, “I think men are not interested in me. No one is interested in my love life. I haven’t done many films also. Most of the news related to me has been about the work I have done and I am very happy about it.”

When asked about portrayal of certain characters as heroes on the silver screen, she said, “If someone makes a movie on somebody's real life, the way you perceive their actions are dependent on you. If you think a man who was with 350 women is a 'hero' or not depends on you.”

“If you were not happy with the movie, you shouldn’t have gone to see the movie. Our job as actors and filmmakers is to present a story or show the life of somebody. The way you react to the story is determined by the people,” she added. Taapsee was referring to the recent release Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor.
