HPCA overjoyed for Anurag Thakurs facilitation as Youth Global Leader

Dharamsala, March 13, 2014: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has shown its happiness over the facilitation of its president Anurag Thakur for being chosen as "Youth Global Leader" by the prestigious World Economic Forum at Davos.

In a joint press release, Surinder Thakur, Arun Singh Thakur, Danvinder Singh vice presidents, Vishal Marwah ( Secretary), Prem Thakur (Joint Secretary), Yudhister Katoach (Joint Secretary), A S Negi (Tresurer)and Sanjay Sharma  (PRO) of HPCA , said, “ Its a moment of great pride and honour that our president Anurag Thakur has been chosen as Youth Global Leader by the prestigious World Economic Forum at Davos .This global recognition for his efforts towards politics, sports and women empowerment has really made us all very happy and ecstatic. We are always inspired by his global vision, hard work, persistent encouragement, team building and go getter approach that has made him a national recognised figure despite hailing from a small state of Himachal Pradesh.”

The statement said that because of Anurag’s commitment, vision and hard work, HPCA has been recognised as one of the best associations in the country promoting cricket and other sports . Signatories to the statement said that the cricketing infrastructure provided by HPCA, is the best in the country for a small hill state and Himachal Pradesh players are also performing well at the national level in such a short span of time after Anurag’s take over.
