How to Be an Entrepreneur?

Ludhiana, August 9, 2018: Department of Science and Technology (GoI) alongwith Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahemdabad organized a two day workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp’ at Bajaj College on 8th-9th August which was conducted by Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development. Many renowned speakers graced this occasion. On the first day, Ms. Baljeet Kaur who is a psychologist, entrepreneur trainee and motivator initiated the session explaining the charms and challenges an entrepreneur. Later, Mr. Ashutosh Roy Founder of Tech Orien shared his start up story with the students to inspire them to be future entrepreneurs. On the second day, Mr. Barinder Singh Advisor at MSME Development Institute created awareness about the schemes provided by the government to support entrepreneurship. Also, Mr. Manjit Singh, having forty years of experience at District Manager at Lead Bank, Ludhiana shed some light on role of banking in business. The session came to an end with the address of Mr. Munish Jindal, Founder and CEO of Hover-Robotix , who also shared his start-up story with the youngsters. All the guests were felicitated with the saplings as a Token of Thanks. The principal, Dr. Shikha Dhall, said that the motive of such seminars is to promote entrepreneurship culture in the students. Many myths were cleared during these two days one of which was that it is necessary to have large amount of finances for setting up a business.
