Jalandhar, April 1, 2016: Under DBT Grant, the students of B.Sc.I visited Pushpa Gujral Science City. The objective of this visit was to encourage the students as well as to popularize science and technology. The students enthusiastically explored the world of science through various demonstration setups in the science city. Students were thrilled to see the Dino Park. They had a glimpse of Jurassic age. Students have earned a good knowledge of biological world. They were excited to see the 3-d show, laser show and wondered by watching the movie ‘Adventures in wild California’. Further they got first hand information about earthquake, pitcher scale and epicenter by sitting in an earthquake simulator. They also experienced global warming in the climate change theatre. This trip was highly beneficial for students as they explored many new horizons of science and knew about significance of scientific applications in daily life. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Narinderjit of Chemistry Deptt and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur of Botany Deptt. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj encouraged the students and department for organizing such type of educational trips.
