Jalandhar, November 26, 2014: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has received DBT Star College Status under which the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India has granted the above status as well as monetary grant to Science Departments i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj told that this grant shall be utilised for the upgrdation of the infrastructure of science departments, faculty development programmes, upgradation of Library facilities, modernisation of existing laboratories and training in latest areas of science for students.
On this occasion, the staff members were felicitated by Principal Bhardwaj. Those present on the occasion were Dean Academics M. Syal, Renuka Bhatti, Kiranjit Kaur, Dr. Meena Sharma, Dr. Mani Sharma, Dr. Jitender Kumar, Harpreet Singh and Sumit Sharma.
