Jalandhar, October 30, 2014: DIPS UE-1 Jalandhar participated in Sahodaya Interschool Science Model Making Competition held at DIPS Dhilwan in which 30 city schools participated. Automatic Railway Crossing Model was declared the winner. The school bagged first position and got the Winning Trophy.
The elated participants who brought laurels to the school were Parth Sarthi Sharma XII and Inderjot Kaur XII.
The model described the use of IR Sensors for opening and closing the railway barriers automatically to avoid the rail accidents caused due to human negligence. The model depicted a modern Railway Crossing which would be useful even in a remote area where no person can be employed for opening and closing of railway barrier. The model was innovative and highly appreciated by the judges and was also presented in a unique style. This Railway Crossing Model was the brainchild of Maninder, HOD Science who guided the students amicably.
The participants were encouraged by dynamic Principle Meenakshi Mehta whose constant guidance always encourage and inspire the students to excel and achieve success.
