Ferozepur, June 1, 2017: The BSF troops belonging to77 Battalion today recovered heroin worth Rs.3 Crore in the international market near Border Outpost (BoP) Bast Ram Lal. As per information available, during a search operation, the BSF troops recovered two iron rods of one ft.each which were filled with heroin. B.S.Rajpurohit, DIG, BSF said that the rods were concealed beneath the soil in the field.
Earlier, on May 30, five packet of heroin (4.5 Kg.) were recovered near Border Outpost (BoP) Dona Telu Mal along the Pakistan Border in Ferozepur Sector during a joint operation by BSF and Special Task Force (STF) setup by the state government.
