Harsimrat promises to make Bathinda model constituency in the country

Raman Mandi (Bathinda), August 17, 2014: The Union Food Processing Industry Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Center has the agenda of social welfare and socio- economic reformation of Punjab on priority.
While addressing impressive gatherings in favour of SAD-BJP Candidate Jeet Mohinder Sidhu here on Sunday, Harsimrat Kaur Badal said with the full support from the Union Government all issues of utmost importance pertaining to agriculture diversification, industrial and economic growth of the state would be resolved soon.
She said that   the SAD-BJP government has put the development of Punjab on fast track by fixing time lines for the completion of various projects and also vowed to make Bathinda as Model Constituency of the country.   
She said the infrastructure based growth model evolved by the SAD-BJP government had a cascading effect on all development parameters.
Appealing the electorate to vote for the SAD-BJP for better future of Punjab, Harsimrat  promised that the NDA government would ensure development of Agro based Food processing industry, manufacturing and textiles sectors in the state to create huge  employment opportunities for the youth.
While talking about her ministry, Badal said that diversification and food processing was the need of the hour. "A lot of foodgrain is being wasted. Diversification coupled with food processing is the need of the hour. Besides adding value to farm produce, we should ensure the consumer gets the same at a reasonable cost,”.
Harsimrat hoped that the people of  Talwandi Sabo  will give a  forceful mandate to the SAD-BJP for the agenda of peace, development and communal harmony, for  a victory of clean politics over negative tactics such as mudslinging, and issue-less policies adopted by the Congress.
“The single point agenda of the Congress is to loot the country and its resources. The previous UPA regime had ruined the country and its ministers had heavily indulged in corrupt practices," she said.
 
Taking a dig at former Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh, Badal said that people of Amritsar were repenting on their decision as Maharaja was not accessible after winning the parliamentary election.
She also regretted and reminded the electorate on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s defeat, she said it was an opportunity that Amritsar had lost.     She thanked Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Railway Minister for the bonanza for Punjab, including the announcements on Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bathinda- Delhi Shatabadi, inclusion of holy city of Amritsar in the New Heritage City Development Yojna.
Harsimrat Kaur Badal said it was such a painful irony that Amritsar MP Captain Amarinder Singh remained characteristically absent from Parliament when his state and especially Amritsar were receiving the good news from Jaitley. “People made a big mistake by electing such a non-serious person, who attended  Parliament just for oath taking during first two days and never seen after that,”.
The gatherings in all these meetings responded enthusiastically to all the development initiatives counted by Harsimrat  by raising the slogans of ‘Shiromani Akali Dal zindabad’ and  ‘Biba Harsimrat Zindabad’. The traders of Raman Mandi , who gathered in large numbers pledged their whole heart support for the victory of Akali candidate.
CONGRESS NUMBER 1 ENEMY OF PUNJAB – MAJITHIA
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Revenue, Information and Public Relations Minister, Mr. Bikram, Singh Majitha said that Congress once one of largest party of the country was reduced to just 44 seats in the Parliament and now not  eligible even  for the post of Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha.  He said Congress was going to be wiped out from the country because of “its sins” and people had realised that it was the root cause of their troubles.  
Majithia said that  Congress  was No. 1 enemy of Punjab and decade long misrule of Congress led UPA government has broken the backbone of Punjab’s economy. He also cautioned voters against falling into trap of Aam Admi Party, which has no agenda for the people.
Senior Akali leaders of the Raman Mandi and representatives of various organisations and unions also spoke during these rallies.
HARSIMRAT GREETS PEOPLE ON JANMASHTAMI
On the auspicious occasion, Harsimrat Kaur Badal greeted the people on Janmashtami, saying it was time to rededicate to Lord Krishna's teachings to build a peaceful and enlightened society.
In her message, she hoped that Lord Krishna would bless the lives of people. “I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the joyous occasion of Janmashtami,” she added.
