Guru Kashi University Celebrates World Book Day

Talwandi Sabo, April 23, 2015: Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo celebrated World Book & Copyright Day in the Campus. On this occasion two parallel functions were organized under the guidance of Dr N.S Malhi, Vice Chancellor, GKU. All the librarians of different libraries of the University were honored by the Vice Chancellor. Paramjeet Singh, Madam Sukhwinder Kaur, Madam Kiran Bala, Madam Swaran Kaur and Madam Gurjeet Kaur are all the librarians were honored on this occasion. Dr. Malhi stated that good books are the path finder in our lives so we should always being in touch with the books. As for as students life is concerned books not only provide them livelihood but also make them good human beings.

In the second part of the programme at Guru Goibind Singh College of Education of GKU a book by Arun Kumar Kansal  named ‘School Management’ was released by Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor, GKU. It is to state here that this book will be definitely play a pivotal role during the teacher training courses. In thebook releasing ceremony Dr. Kulwinder Singh, Pbi. Univ. Patiala, Dr. Tarlok Bandhu, Khalsa College, Sri Mukatsar Sahib, Dr. Raminder Singh, Pbi. Univ. Regional Centre Bathinda and Dr. Nivedita Hooda, CDLU, Sirsa were also present. All present congratulated Dr. kansal with the hope of new good books in the future.
