Guru Kashi University Celeberates 'Petrofest 2016'

Talwandi Sabo, November 1, 2016: Petrofest 2016 is celebrated as the annual day by Petroleum Engineering Department of GGSCET, Guru Kashi University. The main highlighted event was the Seminar session by a bunch of B.Tech and Diploma students from the department. Master Alex Joseph delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Narinder Singh, Director Finance of the university, was the chief guest and inaugurated the ceremony with a deliberate speech to the students. Master Amal Benny, Jerry Shehzad, Albin Biju, Akash, Gurpreet, Devadas, Christy, Bijith and Alex have presented their seminars on various subjects related to crude oil drilling, extraction and extraction. The whole branch attended the session under the guidance of the HOD Er. Atul Goyal and Mrs. Nishna Bijesh. In the Petrofest, Dr. G. S. Brar Dean Engineering and Dr. Varinder Singh Dy. Dean Engineering & HOD Civil Engineering graced the occasion with their presence. Faculty members Er. Gurbinder Singh, Er. Rakesh Singh and Er. Sunita Saha were also present in the Petrofest-2016 and helped remarkably.

The closing of ceremony was with the concluding speech of Mrs. Nishna Bijesh, who informed that there shall be a College-level seminar session, which is expected in the month of February.

Chief Guest Dr. Narinder Singh stated that there is huge demand of petroleum engineering throughout the world and asked the students to work hard and wishes them goodluck.

Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal highly appreciated the technical activity by Petro Chemical department of the University. S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu (MD) congratulated Mr. Atul , Dr. Brar for this fruit full activity also stated that such type of activities will be proved helpful to provide highly technical & trained staff to the corporate world of related fields
