Guest Lecture On Budget Analysis Organised in AIMTC

Jalandhar, March 14, 2016: The Corporate Relations Cell of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus organised a Guest Lecture on Budget Analysis. The resource person for the lecture was Mr.Shirish Mudgal, Regional Head, Business Standard Ltd. was the resource person for the lecture. Mr. Mudgal started his lecture by sharing his perspective on the present world economic scenario. Mr. Mudgal elucidated the highlights of budget 2016 which included scheme to get Rs.500 cr for promoting entrepreneurship among SC/ST, Rs. 1,700 crore for 1500 multi-skill development centres, 62 new navodaya vidyalayas to provide quality education, digital literacy scheme to be launched to cover 6 crore additional rural households, entrepreneurship training to be provided across schools, colleges and massive online courses, objective to skill 1 crore youth in the next 3 years under the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojna, 1500 Multi-skill training institutes to be set up etc.
Then he mentioned that there are efforts being made for a conducive economic scenario in India, and also government is stressing on the need to reinforce endeavours for encouraging innovative enterprises. However, he added that the present budget 2016 offered little scope for Research & Development. He also discussed the impact which the increased service tax will have on the masses.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of the Institute thanked Mr. Shirish Mudgal and expressed that this programme must have enlightened the students and that they would be benefited by this programme.
Isha Saini of MBA II proposed a vote of thanks after the lecture. She thanked worthy resource person and Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga. She also thanked the Corporate Relations Cell for organizing the lecture and said that it would really benefit the students.
