Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrates Guru Purnima

Jalandhar, July 19, 2016: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated Guru Purnima in the College premises. Principal Dr.Sucharita enlightened all the students about the role of a teacher or Guru plays in the life of a person. She said only with the true guidance of gurus, we can achieve heights in the respective fields while struggling hard to earn perfectness in our skills. She said our holy scriptures have placed the importance of Guru near to the almighty.
On the occasion, Dr. Vivek Verma,, Assistant Prof., Department of Music Vocal addressed the gathering and explained the role of a teacher in a student’s life. Students from the departments of Dance and Music also mesmerized the audience with their splendid performances. In this programme, National Youth Festival winner Sunny won the hearts of many by giving his intoxicating performance on Sarangi. Students also presented a theatre item, poetry and Kathak Dance on this occasion.
Dr. Amita Mishra, Head, Department of Music Vocal heartily thanked Dr. Sucharita, Principal of the College and inspired the students to follow the path shown by their gurus.
