Ludhiana, August 18, 2013: A felicitation function was organised at Government College for Girls here on Sunday to felicitate GK Joshi, General Secretary, Central Bank of India Employees Union, CBIEU, (NZ) on his nomination as Workman Director on the Board of Central Bank of India.
The function was organised jointly by Ludhiana Region Unit of CBIEU (NZ) and Central Bank Officers’ Union, CBOU (CHD ZONE).
The event was held under the joint presidentship of JB Aggarwal, President, CBIEU (NZ) and SK Phull, President, CBOU (Chd Zone).
The Guest of Honor was KK Taneja, Field General Manager, Zonal Office Chandigarh.
Addressing the gathering, Taneja said it is a great achievement of GK Joshi to be nominated as workman director. He advised all the staff members to take active part in the development of Bank.
SS Bhalla also advised the staff members to put their extra efforts, so that Ludhiana Region should become “Number One Region”.
NK Gaur, General Secretary, PBEF in his address said that Joshi will watch the interest of the employees as well as Bank on the board of Central Bank of India as representative of AIBEA.
G K Joshi, while accepting the greetings said that all the members of AIBEA deserve for these greetings as without their support, faith in leadership, it would not have been possible to achieve this. He assured the audience that he will continue to fight for their rights.
