GANG OF ROBBERS ARRESTED BY LUDHIANA POLICE

Ludhiana, May 7, 2019: With the arrest of four persons, the Ludhiana Police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers, who were trying to rob UCO Bank Jugiana. ADCP City-2 Jaskaranjit Singh Teja informed that ASI Balbir Singh from Sahnewal Police Station was on night patrolling when he received secret information that a gang of robbers have gathered at a deserted house and are planning to rob UCO Bank Jugiana branch. The ADCP informed that the accused persons have been identified as Sonu Pushpakar s/o Hira Lal Pushpakar resident of Rampur Bawli, PS Lalganj, District Pratapgarh (UP), currently resident of Kapoor Singh Da Vehra, village Giaspura, Rakesh Pandey s/o Jagdish Pandey resident of village Pimpari, PS Korria, District Gonda (UP), currently residing at Vicky Da Vehra, Giaspura, Naveen Bajaj alias Nannu s/o Rajiv Bajaj, resident of Dr Sadhu Singh Chowk, Bohar Wali Gali, PS Ferozepur City, currently resident of Geeta Rani House, Shimlapuri and Kuldeep Singh alias Laadi s/o Balwant Singh, resident of Mohalla Fateh Singh Nagar, Shimlapuri. The accused persons had gathered at a deserted house on the Service Road near Octroi Post. The ASI nabbed the accused persons and a case number 107 dated May 5, 2019 under section 399, 402 of IPC and sections 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act was registered at Sahnewal Police Station. The court has sent the accused persons on a three day police remand and more revelations are expected during the course of investigation. The police has recovered a country made pistol .315 bore, two live cartridges .315 bore, a sword, one blade used for cutting iron, a screwdriver, a stolen Activa number PB10DJ2291 from their possession. Details of crimes committed by this gang: Stole an LCD, a computer set, Rs 1.35 lakh cash and a printer from Happy Sales India, Jaspal Bangar Road, Ludhiana in the year 2017. Stole a gas cylinder, five bags of toffees, one laptop and one LCD from a Toffee Factory on Jaspal Bangar Road. Stole one inverter and battery, one printer and one gas cylinder from a factory opposite a Toffee Factory on Jaspal Bangar Road. Stole a computer UPS and battery charger, four laptops, one LCD from a motorcycle showroom on Goraya-Jandiala Road one year ago. Stole a printer, laptop and computer set from a tractor repair garage on Goraya Phillaur GT Road right side around 6 months ago. Stole an LCD, a laptop, one computer set, one Invertor, Rs 5000 cash from a cardboard factory, back side of Mohan Dai Oswal Hospital on 2018. Stole 80 kg iron from a steel factory, back side of Garg Petrol Pump, Sua Road in 2018. Stole readymade pants and readymade shirts along with Rs 5000 cash from a readymade clothes shop at Aarti Chowk, Sherpur in 2018. Snatched 5-6 mobile phones from people on Daba Lohara Road and Jaspal Bangar Road in 2018. Stole Rs 10,000 from Happy Sales India on Jaspal Bangar Road around one month back. Stole around 100 kg washels from a factory on Sua Road Ludhiana. Stole a printer and Rs 5000 cash from a factory on Giaspura Road. Snatched a mobile phone from a passerby in Dhandari Kalan near Railway Station, main GT Road. Snatched a mobile phone and purse from a motorist from near Daba Lohara Canal in 2019. Snatched a mobile phone and Rs 700 from a migrant labourer from near Airport Road in February 2019. Snatched a mobile phone and Rs 3200 from a motorist at village Gobindgarh. Stole 4 laptops, a monitor, LCD and around Rs 8000-9000 from an agency located on Phagwara-Jandiala Road in 2018. Stole a platina motorcycle from Ludhiana Railway Station in 2018. Stole 4 mobile phones and a purse containing around Rs 12000 from people at Railway Station Ludhiana.
