Chandigarh, April 4, 2016: Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), a joint venture between Future Group - the game changers in Retail Trade in India and Generali – a 184 years old global insurance group featuring among the world’s 50 largest companies, today announced the launch of i-MoSS app for motor claim surveyors of the company.
The app had a soft launch about six months ago for in-house surveyors wherein it was tested for volumes to provide enhanced error free experience. It is now being successfully operated by all in-house motor claim surveyors of the company. With the help of i-MoSS, the company expects on-the-spot conclusion of 70% of its motor insurance claims and 50% reduction in total time required to settle motor insurance claims.
K.G. Krishnamoorthy Rao, MD and CEO, Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited commented on the launch, “We have always strived to be at the forefront of technological innovations to serve our customers better. i-MoSS is a step towards making the claim experience a lot simpler for them. With the easy claim intimation and quick settlement process, we believe to set a new benchmark in the industry.”
Easwara Narayanan, COO, Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited said, “With the constant transformation of technology, we are ambitious of capitalizing on the trend. The launch of i-MoSS app will upgrade the process of claim settlement for our customers and play a pivotal role in us working towards changing the dynamics of the motor insurance industry.”
i-MoSS application is an in-house application developed by the company to help surveyors in faster conclusion and settlement of motor insurance claims. The surveyor will be able to undertake every process through the i-MoSS app, right from being assigned a case, contacting the customer, viewing past and current policy details, clicking and uploading pictures of the vehicle, calculating estimate and all liabilities, send delivery order to the garage, assessment copy to customers, conclude the claim and transfer funds to the customer’s account.
The app introduces first time in the industry the one-of-its kind feature - Optical Character Reader (OCR) which is designed to calculate estimates and liability of each party within seconds. Complex algorithms at the back end help in accurate and faster calculations through the OCR.
The app behaves as a virtual office for the surveyor wherein he is even able to conclude a claim in a matter of minutes from the garage itself.i-MoSS can work on both offline as well as online modes. Every process except fund transfer to the customer can be done in the offline mode.
i-MoSS is currently operational on Android tablets (7 inch – 10 inch tablets) and will soon be launched on the iOS platform.
