Ludhiana, March 13, 2016: Senior officials of Ajman Free Zone in association with Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), conducted session on business opportunity in Ajman Free Zone-UAE.
Mr Upkar Singh, CICU, in his welcome address asked the CICU members to explore new horizons to expand their businesses. He further added that CICU is planning to send a delegation of CICU members to visit to Ajman Free Zone, in April this year, to explore prospects for opening their offices in Ajman Free Zone.
Dr. Tapas Chakravarty, Head of Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) Delhi-NCR office, in his address said that the focus of AFZ is to attract SMEs in business and trade services. To attract investors, AFZ is providing a number of incentives and facilities which include no tax and no custom duty, 100 per cent ownership, license on the same day, smart offices at reduced cost, warehouse facilities and easy payment plans. Dr. Chakravarty also said that AFZ is offering prospects based on stable and freely convertible currency, 100% repatriation of capital and profit, zero foreign exchange controls and trade barriers, state-of-the-art services and infrastructure, safety, security and lifestyle. Dr. Chakravarty said that opening Delhi offices was in line with the Ajman Free Zone’s accelerated strategic campaign to attract global investors from across the world, which now houses over 14,000 companies, out of which 6000 companies are from India.
Mr. Avtar Singh, president of the CICU said that the North India specially the Punjab region which is very important part of the business community of India will have now the ease and comfort of dealing with the new representative office of Ajman Free Zone opened in Gurgaon, Delhi-NCR. He asked the CICU members to avail this opportunity.
The occasion was graced by the chief guest, Honorable Irrigation Minister Government of Punjab, Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon appreciated the efforts done by CICU in promoting and Expanding the industrial sector of Punjab to other countries & continents. He also assured that exhibition centre would be established soon iin Punjab

More than 135 industrialists & business man attended the session.
