Five students of Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses, Mohali clear Punjab Civil Services Examination-2012

Chandigarh, November 7, 2013: Five students of Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses, Mohali have cleared the Punjab Civil Services Examination-2012. It was the result of free coaching facilities being provided by Punjab Government to Scheduled Castes, Backward classes and minorities students.
Disclosing this here today Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Minister, Punjab, Gulzar Singh Ranike said that Hardeep Singh from Backward Classes got 2nd Rank in BC Category, Pawan Kumar has secured 6th rank in SC Others Category, Sundeep singh got 12th rank in SC Others Category, Kirandeep Kaur secured 13th and Gurpreeet Singh secured 18th Rank in the Balmiki/Mazhbi Sikh Category.
While giving congratulations to these candidates Ranike said that this institute proved a boon for them. He said that hard work, dedication, sincerity and consistency in studies of all the students brought fruit for them.
The Minister said that this institute provides free coaching, free hostel facility and financial assistance to the economically weaker students belonging to SC, BC and Minority community for various courses like Civil Services, Punjab Civil Services, Bank P.O., PMET etc. He appreciated the efforts of Secretary Welfare, Anurag Aggarwal, Director Welfare, Pirthi Chand and the principal of the Institute Rajvinder Kaur who were taking keen interest in running the institute under their valuable guidance and support.
