Ludhiana, July 23, 2018: Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization popularly known as FICO opposed the Disposal charges on Submersible Pumps. S.Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO demanded MAYOR & Municipal Commissioner Ludhiana to review the decision, as none of the government authority can ask for retro respective older than 3 years. MSME Sector is going through a phase of recession and change over, and in this crucial period, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has imposed the Charges on Extraction of Water from submersibles to the industry, the imposed charges are on retro respective prospect and are applicable from 2010, which is totally unjustified as industry does not have the water supply from Municipal Corporation in Focal Point. Moreover Industry is already paying disposal charges on water, as well as water and sewerage charges to Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. Moreover, we are also paying charges to Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society for water treatment and transportation. You are requested to roll back these charges with immediate effect.
