FICO gets invite to attend "Make in India" Campaign

Ludhiana, September 24, 2014: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi would launch the "Make in India" campaign on 25th September 2014 at 1000 hrs in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Make in India is Government of India’s initiative, with “No Defect, No Effect” policy, to provide an impetus to high quality and environment friendly manufacturing in the country.  Under this Programme, the Government aims to focus on manpower, quality, R & D innovation etc. to make India a preferred destination for manufacturing and value addition.
•         Measures required to provide an impetus to industrialization and manufacturing  in the state and how it can be made an integral component of the “Make in India” campaign
•         Further Steps required to be undertaken at state level for improvement of case of doing business
•         Measures required for skill building
•         How the state can become integral part of the following industrial corridors
•         Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor
•         Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor
•         Measures required to make domestic companies to be part of the global value chain
•         Other actionables emerging from the address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organizations (FICO), Ludhiana got the invitation for the meeting from Department of Policy and Promotion, Govt. of India, New Delhi. K.K. Seth Chairman of FICO & Gurmeet Singh Kular Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce and industry Ludhiana- Zone & President of FICO will attend the meeting at New Delhi & represent the Punjab Industry.
