FICO delegation to meet CM on Nov 19

Ludhiana, November 18, 2014: A delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisation (FICO), Ludhiana will meet Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister, Punjab at Chandigarh on November 19 regarding certain problems being faced by the industry.

In a statement here today, FICO president Gurmeet Singh Kular said the issues that are to be taken up with the chief minister included additional advance consumption deposit imposed by Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd, sewerage sharing charges imposed by Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, 3 times hike & 5 years advance compulsory factory licence renewal fee Imposed by Director of Factories, approval of refunds above Rs.25 lacs imposed by Excise & Taxation Commissioner Punjab, reduction of VAT from 6.05% to 2.5 %  on bicycle industry and demand for technology upgradtion fund (TUF) to  uplift the Punjab's mother industry (bicycle industry).
