FEROZEPUR Cantonment Board starts “Mission Zero Garbage”

Ferozepur, July 27, 2013:  The Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board, Ferozepur Cantt G.Vijay Bhaskar and Surinder Singh Baboo, Vice President,  today started “Mission Zero Garbage” by flagging off the teams constituted for the purpose, to make the cantonment area neat and clear apart from giving the better hygienic services.

On this occasion, Satish Kumar Arora, SDO, Yogesh Kumar Superintendent Sohan Singh, Subhash Rai Gupta, V.P.Singh, Counsellors Cantt Board Sanjay Gupta and Radhey Sham were present.

The CEO Cantt Board informed that under the mission, 17 garbage lifting vehicles would collect the garbage early in the morning from door to door  by giving a whistle and in the residential areas, this would be totally free of cost and in the commercial areas, a very nominal fee will be changed.

He further said, “In Ferozpeur Cantt about 8,500 dustbins have been distributed and the remaining area would also be covered shortly”.

CEO however, appealed to the residents not to throw the plastic bags in the drains and garbage on the roads and streets. With these arrangements, in the coming 2-3 months, the cantonment area would be free from garbage and there will be no choking of drainage also.
