Being the first in the city to be the member of the Indian squad going to the Republic of Czechoslovakia for the Jr World Cup- 26thMeeting of Shooting Hopes in two events, namely- 50m rifle prone and 10m air rifle from May 25, 2016 to May 29, 2016, he is continuously participating and winning events at a regular basis. Fateh’s latest feat has been a Silver Medal (Team) in 50m rifle prone at ISSF Junior World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun at Gabala, Azarbiajan.

The average of these six matches placed him at the top in the list of six chosen for the national squad. Out of these six, the top three get the privilege to represent their nation at international level.

Fateh initially played table tennis and represented the school at National Level in table tennis. In 2012, Fateh’s love for guns forced his father to visualize his son bringing laurels in the sport. He helped his son to acquire the skill by not only being his financial support but also by always being a moral support to his son whereas his mother accompanied him for every tournament and occupied a chair in one corner, sitting quietly and patiently but at the same time lending him the strength and confidence to help him put in his best.He also left no stone unturned to achieve what he has achieved till now and says that this is just the beginning of the long journey where there is still a lot to come. He puts in good two and a half hours in order to master the technicalities of the sport and then an hour into physical training too. Yet he feels that he needs to go to the other end of the earth to achieve higher goals. His sole dream is to fulfill the desire of his parents to see him salute the Tiranga and chant the national anthem while standing at the highest step of the podium at the Olympic Games. The young man is not only showing wonders in the arena of sports but also making his parents proud with his praiseworthy results in the academics. He accepts without any hesitation that keeping pace with the academics is actually an uphill task made easy by the cooperation of the school authorities and his friends. He aims to crack the PPS or the IPS examination one day in his life.

The proud parents thanked the school authorities for the cooperation from time to time, saying that the teachers were always there for him to help him with his doubts wherever required.

To sum up his success he very humbly said- “Everyone who surrounds me deserves the credit for my achievements, my father for having such a phenomenal vision for me, my mother for being a support at every Championship. My chief national coach certainly shares the pride as she helped me in my training, Mr Deepak Dubey (national coach) encouraged me and guided me in the event of 50m rifle prone because of which I am travelling abroad in the Indian team. Not to miss my teachers who have been easing off the burden of my education by helping me with my doubts and queries and for their motivation to pursue the sport and how can I forget my dear friends for lending me their notes.” He added, “I feel as if I am on cloud nine and for me it's a matter of great honour and pride to be the member of the Indian team and this is certainly not the destination but the first rung of the ladder of success.”
