Ludhiana, May 16, 2016: The two weeks Faculty Development Program entitled as “Computational Tools to Facilitate Multidisciplinary Research” has been inaugurated today at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. The FDP is jointly organised by the departments of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, M.C.A.Dr.Parminder Singh, DR.K.S.Mann, Prof.J.S.Saini, Dr Ajay Shiv Sharma, Head of Departments of respective streams are the chief organizers of FDP. Dr. J.N. Jha, TEQIP Coordinator discussed the importance of FDP. Dr. Rita Goyal from NPIU was the chief guest of the inaugural function.
Dr. Rupinder Singh, the Director-in-Chair wished the success of two weeks FDP. Dr. H.K.Sardana, Chief Scientist, CSIO Chandigarh addressed the function by his expert views on “Computational Approaches towards Multidisciplinary Research”.
Mr. Ripul Ghosh , Scientist , CSIO Chandigarh , discussed in detail “The computational Geoscience and its Applications” .Ms Bimaljeet Kaur from TCS gives the expert views on “Knowledge Management and Information technology”. The external candidates form other institutes, organisations NITTTR, IIT, NIIT, Punjabi University Patiala, Punjab University Chandigarh, are also going to attend the FDP along with the candidates of G.N.D.E.C.
The two week FDP is aimed to enhance the knowledge of the faculty from various branches regarding the computational tools which can be efficiently used in the research work.
