The authorities of Cambridge International School, Jalandhar motivated the students to donate things generously to the needy in order to fetch their blessings during this festive season.
Jalandhar, November 8, 2015: In order to imbibe the true spirit of Diwali among students and understand the ‘feeling of giving and sharing’ during this major festival , the school authorities of Cambridge International School motivated the students to donate things generously to the needy in order to fetch their blessings during this festive season.
The initiative taken by school authorities was given a very good shape by the students as they came forward with donations in all forms. Students got various articles like clothing , woolens , socks, books, gift items, food items etc from their houses for charity. Some students donated money also for the needy. The proceeds of this charitable act were sent to an NGO ‘Goonj’ which further sent them to needy people.
On this occasion, Chairman of the school Mr. Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia, Chairman Learning Wings Mr. J.K Kohli, Dr Brijesh, Mr. Nitin Kohli, Academic Director Ms Deepa Dogra and Principal Mam Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon congratulated the students in exhibiting overwhelming response towards this noble cause and understanding the true meaning of the festival.
