Jalandhar, March 29, 2016: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus is organising a three- day Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaign in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Mr.Ahsan Ul Haq, President, Jalandhar Management Association was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session.
In his welcome address stated that the purpose of this camp is to boost and promote the culture of “Creating Jobs” rather than “Doing Jobs” which is the dire need of the hour. It aims at sensitizing the students of creating opportunities for turning their entrepreneurial plans into reality. Dr.Bagga expressed his confidence that students have brilliant ideas but it is fear that holds them back. He said that this fear creeps from the very fact that as starters one lacks knowledge of how to get started. There lies the sole purpose of organising this three- day camp as it will bring to students great and eminent speakers to guide them on their journey of being successful entrepreneurs.
One of the resource persons Dr. Ashish Arora from GNDU exhorted the students to take up entrepreneurial ventures saying that presently government is taking adequate measures and rendering immense support to budding entrepreneurs for their initiatives. The resource persons also added that with Start Up India, this trend of Start Ups has gained momentum and it is quite apparent from the very fact that even the students from the top business schools are declining lucrative corporate prospects and instead going for entrepreneurship.
Mr. Sama and Mr. MJ Kalra were also the resource persons for the day. They also shared their entrepreneurial journey and experiences. The resource persons said that students should have firm faith in their dreams and do their best to turn them into reality. They said that resources galore for those who have innovative, creative and brilliant ideas. It is just that students need to have that level of dedication, creativity, perseverance and enterprising zeal in them.
Director Dr Rajesh Bagga expressed that students must have got benefited by the insights and inputs of eminent entrepreneurs. He also mentioned that it must have given students an idea of various lucrative enterprising areas that students can delve into.
