Engineering Students visit Avon Cycle

Ludhiana, October 3, 2015: About 40 students Shiva Institute of Engineering & Technology, Chandpur, District Bilaspur (H.P) visited Avon Cycles on Saturday, accompanied by Mr.Yashpal Sharma, Training & Placement Officer of the Institute. The main purpose of the visit was to provide Engineering students knowledge of in-plant technical processes through which a bicycle has to pass.

Mr. Sulekh Kaushik, Sr. Sales Manager & Mr. Harish Ahuja, Manager Marketing of the company accompanied the students to the plant where technical team also joined to explain them step by step & process to process, starting from raw material and part-wise upto end product. Theoritical knowledge is different but the students were very curious to have practical knowledge about the processes.

Mr. B.S. Dhiman, Executive President of the company also told the visiting team about 'State of the Art' bicycle assembly plant having automated wheel building imported machines and further ambitious plans of the company.

After having a round of the plant, the visiting team was offered hi tea and at the time of departure, backpack bags were gifted to the students. The experience of visiting a plant and view the processes personally was perhaps a new for them as was clear from happiness and satisfaction expressions visible on their faces at the time of leaving the company.
