Education Department organises Career Guidance Workshop at CT Group of Institutions

Jalandhar, October 26, 2015: The office of the District Education Officer organized a meeting-cum-seminar to provide guidance and counseling to career counselors and teachers at CT Group of Institutions.
Mr.Surjit Lal (District Career Counselor) addressed the teachers and in-charges of counseling cells in schools. 60 career counselors and teachers from different school across Punjab participated. He informed that the lists of various occupations, courses and skill-based diplomas have been sent to all the schools for career guidance.
He said, “We make the students aware about all the career opportunities available to them after 10th and 10+2. There are three types of career— skilled, semi skilled and unskilled. The education departments provide training to students for the joint entrance test for technical education.”
Besides, the presentations were delivered by the concerned officials of different courses at CT Group of Institutions to make them aware about the future perspectives of different courses in the current scenario. Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director at CT Group of Institutions) said that such workshops and seminars are of Utmost importance to create awareness among our counselors. They are the mediators to convey messages to the students that could help them in choosing the right career choice to attain higher laurels in life.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) appreciated the efforts of Education Department in creating such informative awareness session.
