Majitha/Kathunangal April 21, 2015: Addressing a huge gathering at village Kotla Khurd on the occasion of distribution of cheques for developmental works, Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue & Public Relations Minister Punjab said that due compensation would be paid for the crops damaged by unseasonal rains and added that he has written a letter for the same to the Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal and has made an appeal to him to take up the matter vociferously with the centre government. He said that State Government has conducted special girdawari to assess the damage to the crops.
Majithia said that development is the prime agenda of the government and working on it, by the year 2017 the villages of Majitha Constituency would be given a complete facelift. He said that he is desirous of overall development of his constituency and is therefore is personally monitoring all the ongoing projects. He asked the Panchayats to play their role pro actively in the development of villages and directed the officials to do their duty diligently else be ready to face the music.
Majithia thanked the people for supporting SAD on all occasions including elections. The people expressed their unflinching support to SAD and their satisfaction over the development works by raising hands and shouting slogans in favour of the Party.
Majithia distributed cheques worth Rs. 10 lac to Kotla Khurd(Khushipur), Rs. 8 lac to Kotla Saidan and Rs.13 Lac to Bhoa Fatehgarh amounting to a total of Rs.31 lac for the developmental works. In these villages, he also laid the foundation stone of projects for disposal drains and the roads leading to deras.
