Jalandhar, December 21, 2018: Dr.Renu Gupta, Associate Professor, Postgraduate Department of English attended 3 days Literature Festival organised in Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar. The Festival brought together teachers, writers, artists and entertainers from India and abroad with a view to promote Indian culture and address social issues.
Dr Renu Gupta also presented a research paper titled "An Exploration of the Use of Myth in Namita Gokhale’s LOST IN TIME". She analysed how Gokhale interweaves the myth of Ghatothkacha from Mahabharata with the tale of Chintamani from the contemporary times to foreground the perennial issues of pain and love.
The paper was highly applauded for its culture related content as well as lucid presentation.
On this occasion, the famous actress Deepti Naval praised Dr. Renu Gupta's paper. She said that she was very impressed with the paper she wrote. She also asked Dr. Gupta to contribute in the literary works of Deepti Naval and her father. It will be a matter of proud for them if Dr. Gupta will give her contribution in it.
