Dr.Atwal Leaves For U.N Headquarter To Celebrate Ambedkar's 125th Birth Anniversary

Chandigarh, April 14, 2016: Dr.Charnjit Singh Atwal, Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, left for UN Headquarters, New York to attend the Grand Gala Celebrations of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. This is for the first time that such a grand Honour is being accorded to any Indian leader at the UN Headquarters by celebrating his Birth Anniversary as a commemorative of his service to the global masses. The event has been organized by Permanent Mission of India to United Nations at the Headquarters of UN, New York, U.S.A in association with Kalpana Saroj Foundation and Foundation for Human Horizons where Dr. Atwal has been invited as Special Guest of Honour.
Before leaving, Dr. Atwal said, this is a proud moment for all the Indians that the program formulated by Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi for Nationwide Celebrations of Baba Saheb's 125th Birth Anniversary has become Global Agenda for not only the Indians but for all the followers from the world and lovers of this supreme personality.
