Dr Christopher C Berndt, from Surface Science and Interface Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne interacts with faculty of Punjab Institute of Technology and Punjab Institute of Management and delivers a lecture over professional development.
Jalandhar, April 7, 2015: After signing a MoU last year, Dr Christopher C Berndt, from Surface Science and Interface Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne visited Punjab Technical University lately. Dr Chris is a PHD and Doctorate of engineering and have presented a number of seminar throughout the world.
He interacted with faculty and students of mechanical engineering and exchanged ideas on various aspects of engineering. Later in the evening he interacted with faculty of Punjab Institute of Technology and Punjab Institute of Management and delivered a lecture over professional development.
He shared his experiences in field of engineering and technology with the participants. He said, “We should focus on further strengthening of ties between two nations in field of mechanical engineering rather than limiting to literature part. This will bring more advancement in field of engineering and can bring latest developments which are indeed better for overall development of nations.”
Dr Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean Academics stressed upon the Joint Research Programmes of both the universities in future. He said, “His visit has been a great motivating factor for the students of the campus. He visited here to hold brief discussions over scope of engineering in coming time and what measures could be taken to compete at par.”
