DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION CONDUCTS SURPRISE CHECK CARRIED OUT AT DRUG DE-ADDICTION CENTRES TODAY

Ludhiana, July 25, 2018: Under the Mission Tandrust Punjab being started by the Punjab government, the officials of District Administration along with the Police officials today carried surprise checks of drug de-addiction centres of the district. Miss Kanu Garg, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances), Ludhiana informed that upon checking, the working of these drug de-addiction centres was found satisfactory and the officials also interacted with the youth under treatment there.

Today’s checking was carried to check the technical aspects of these drug de-addiction centres and the feedback of youth undergoing treatment there was also taken.

A team of Dr Bhupinder from Community Health Centre (CHC) Payal and BDPO Ludhiana-2 Jaspreet Kaur conducted surprise check of Pammi Neuro Psychiatry Centre, Dr JP Singh from CHC Sahnewal and Naib Tehsildar Manmohan Kumar conducted surprise check of drug de-addiction centre at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, Dr Gurdeep Singh from CHC Pakhowal and BDPO Rupinderjit Kaur carried surprise check of Kala Nursing Home, Kochar Market, Ludhiana, Dr Rajinder Bhatia from CHC Koom Kalan and DDPO Roop Singh carried surprise check of drug de-addiction centre at Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Charitable Hospital, Model Town, Ludhiana, Dr Jaspreet Kaur from CHC Machhiwara and Naib Tehsildar Machhiwara Vijay Kumar carried surprise check at drug de-addiction centre at Civil Hospital, Samrala and Dr Ravinder Gulati from Sub Divisional Hospital Khanna and Naib Tehsildar Khanna Ranjit Singh carried surprise check at Ivy Hospital, Khanna.

Miss Kanu Garg also carried a surprise check at the Sewa Kendra located in District Administrative Complex, here. She said that the basic amenities were checked there and a report regarding any discrepancies have been submitted to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development).

She said that the checks at drug de-addiction centres were carried to check their technical aspects and the teams also interacted with the youth undergoing treatment there and also took their feedback. She said that the working of all the checked drug de-addiction centres was found to be satisfactory.
