Deputy Commissioner reviews the Republic Day function preparations

Appeals everyone to participate whole heartedly with full zeal and devotion
Ludhiana, January 19, 2017: A meeting under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sh.Ravi Bhagat was organized to review the preparations of District Level Republic Day function to be held on 26th January. Officials from various departments attended the meeting. Addressing the officials, Sh.Bhagat said that we should celebrate our national days with the feeling of nationalism. He appealed all the people to have maximum participation in the Republic Day function. He also instructed officials to be present on the Republic Day function with their families to celebrate this national festival with great pomp and show.

Assistant Commissioner (G) Smt. Swati Tiwana informed various departments about the arrangements and their duties to perform. She said that all the arrangements would be in a fair manner. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Ms. Apneet Riyait informed that exhibitions (Jhakies) showing public welfare are also being prepared for this function. A.C.P. (Headquarter) Smt. Ravinder Kaur Bhatti promised to have proper arrangement for flag hoisting and parade.

District Education Officer (secondary) also promised to have a memorable cultural programme (Bhangra and Giddha especially) for the occasion. Besides, issues discussed were the proper seating arrangements for freedom fighters and their families, chief guests, guests, press and gathering and to provide sewing machines to the widows and tricycles to the physically handicapped ones. Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Sh. Mohinderpal Gupta and many more officials from various departments were also present during the meeting.
