Departments told to furnish quota backlog info to Punjab Welfare Department

Chandigarh, March 12, 2015: The Punjab Welfare Department today issued strict directives to all departments to immediately submit detailed info on backlog of SC/BC quota cadre wise in a detailed format so that Punjab Government could launch a sustained campaign to clear the backlog in a time bound manner.

Disclosing this here an official spokesman said that all concerned authorities should ensure the timely submission of information along details of backlog in the state. He said instructions in this regard had also been issued earlier but till date some departments did not submit this information in set Performa. He said this has been taken seriously by Welfare Committee Branch. He said in recent instructions it has been stated that the information should be submitted well within one week so that actual status of backlog could be furnished before Welfare Committee Branch.
