Deloitte Monsoon Regatta 2017 concluded

Vizag Team bagged Trophy in Omega Fleet as Overall Winning Team
Hyderabad, July 30, 2017: Deloitte Monsoon Regatta 2017 concluded here in city today at Yacht Club of Hyderabad. The Regatta had 93 entries in two claases —Optimist and Omega. The Omega Class of boats were sailed in the Americas Cup format, and the Young under 16 sailors sailed in the Optimist Class of boats

The top National sailors vied for the title. The Regatta was organized by the Telangana Sailing Association and hosted by the Yacht Club of Hyderabad, and with Marriott as the hospitality partner
the Deloitte Monsoon Regatta has been received with good winds and some great weather

Vizag Team was adjudged as the Overall Winning Team in Omega and bagged the trophy. Their Coach Chinna Reddy received the Trophy from Hari Karra, of Deloitte India, who was the Chief Guest

In Green Fleet, Vaishnavi.V of Yacht Club of Hyderabad bagged Optimist Green Fleet Champion Trophy in Girls and Gagan. S from Trishna Sailing Club was the Optimist Green Fleet Champion. In the Optimist Main Fleet Girls category, Nithya Balachander of Tamil Nadu Sailing Association(TNSA) was the Champion and Neelanand.R of the TNSA was in mens. Both the Champions were given away trophies by Hari Karra.

Tanishq Desai was adjudged as the Youngest Skipper.

The Awards presentation was graced by Padmasri Shanta Sinha, Abhimanyu Patankar, International Sailing Jury.
