Delhi Police constable commits suicide

New Delhi, June 21 (IANS) A Delhi police constable committed suicide by jumping off the fifth floor balcony of his home here, police said Saturday.

Lalji, 45, posted in Aman Vihar police station, jumped off from the balcony of his home in the Mandawali area in east Delhi Friday night.

A family member spotted him lying on the road and took him to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said Lalji was depressed due to his duty hours. No suicide note was found.
